Sunderland are not planning any moves for strikers in this January transfer window, despite links with Conor Wickham.
The Sunderland Echo report that The Black Cats will not be making any moves in the window for attacking talent, with boss Jack Ross calling the reports linking Wickham with a return to the North East as “inaccurate”.

Speaking ahead of Sunderland’s clash with Portsmouth this weekend, Ross said:
Some of the stuff I’ve read is wholly inaccurate. All of it, actually. It’s not my priority at the moment.
Josh has a great goal return. Chris [Maguire] can play higher up. Charlie and Duncan are coming back. Lynden can player higher up.
“We’ve still got Benji as well, who I would like to keep progressing as a forward player, So it’s not something that I’ve been actively pursuing.
Wickham had been linked with a return, with the former Ipswich man struggling for game time at Palace.
The striker has had numerous injury issues since joining Palace, so has only a handful of appearance for the Eagles.
