Crystal Palace have seen their hopes of landing non-league midfielder Adam Lovatt dented following the news he has joined Brighton on trial.
TEAMtalk report that the Premier League side have taken the player on trial in a bid to beat off competition from other potential suitors.
After catching the eye for Hastings United, Lovatt has been attracting interest from a wealth of clubs in both the Premier League and the Football League.
Leeds, Brentford, Reading and West Brom have all been monitoring the player’s development.

With the midfielder now 18 years of age, he is set to enter the world of professional football in the coming months.
Lovatt is unlikely to be short of suitors when the time comes to leave Hastings.
While Lovatt is unlikely to be considered as a player for the first-team in the near future, Palace will be eager to beat their Premier League rivals to a deal.
