Crystal Palace make move for Oumar Niasse

Crystal Palace have reportedly made the first move in the race to sign Everton striker Oumar Niasse.

It is reported by Senegalese news outlet Wiw Sport that the Eagles are determined to press ahead and tie up a deal for the forward in the January transfer window.

The former Lokomotiv Moscow star has long been linked with a switch to Selhurst Park and it seems Roy Hodgson has retained an interest in signing the player.

Niasse has struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park this season and finds himself behind the likes of Richarlison, Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the pecking order of strikers at the club.

According to Wiw Sport, Palace have opened the bidding for the Senegal international and have offered Everton a sum worth €7 million.

The Eagles have struggled to convince in front of goal this season and are believed to be on the lookout for attacking inspiration, with their move for Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke collapsing in recent times.
