Crystal Palace academy graduate Jonny Williams has left the club to join League One side Charlton Athletic, bringing the curtain down on his 17 years with the Eagles.
The Welsh international joined Palace when he was eight years old, making his first appearance with the club 10 years later in 2011, as a second-half substitute against Coventry City.
Williams was a regular as his side progressed into the Premier League back in 2012/13, being named the club’s Young Player of the Year that campaign.

Despite signing a new contract in the summer of 2017, the Welshman scored just once in all his 70 appearances for the south London side.
Palace chairman Steve Parish told Crystal Palace:
Jonny leaves today as a hugely admired, immensely popular and well respected figure. He’s been with us since the age of 8, featuring heavily in our promotion winning season including starting in the final. He has great talent, and has always been a joy to have at the club. I know we all hope he becomes a huge success at Charlton Athletic and continues to achieve great things with his beloved Wales.
His new team Charlton sit fifth in League One, twelve points off leaders Portsmouth, and Williams will be eligible to play against third placed Sunderland this Saturday.
