Jairo Riedewald’s failed move to Celta Vigo was down to the defender not receiving the full backing of Miguel Cardoso, according to Faro De Vigo, via Here Is The City.
The versatile defender was set to move to the La Liga outfit in search of regular football, but after failing to be reassured by Cardoso of a regular first-team spot, the move fell through.

Celta Vigo later confirmed that they had opted to sign Dutch defender Wesley Hoedt on-loan instead, who had fallen out of favour at Southampton under new boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.
The Spanish side were looking to bolster their defensive ranks this transfer window, as they face a battle to stay in La Liga.
Riedeald has not featured in the Premier League yet this season for Crytsal Palace, and is keen on a move away where he would get regular opportunities.
The 22-year-old has made just 19 appearances for Palace since his £7.9 million move from Ajax in 2017.
