Crystal Palace have had their appeal of Wilfried Zaha’s additional one-match ban rejected, and the forward will now miss Palace’s FA Cup tie against Doncaster on Sunday.
Zaha had accepted a charge of improper conduct following his sending off against Southampton last month, where he received a second yellow card after sarcastically applauding referee Andre Marriner.
The Ivory Coast international continued to applaud as he left the field, prompting the FA to fine him £10,000 and ban him for an additional game, which Zaha contested.

The appeal process enabled the 26-year old to play in the draw against West Ham in the Premier League last weekend, where he was on the scoresheet for the Eagles.
However the forward will now miss Sunday’s trip to the Keepmoat Stadium, where Palace take on Doncaster in the fifth round contest.
In Zaha’s absence, January deadline day signing Michy Batshuayi is expected to make his first start for the club.
