Crystal Palace extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to six games following Saturday’s emphatic 4-1 victory away against Leicester City.
The Eagles took the lead against the run of play, five minuted before half time, with Michy Batshuayi scoring his first goal for the club following his loan move in January.
Jonny Evans equalised for Claude Puel’s side just after the hour mark, converting Harvey Barnes’ driven cross, before Wilfred Zaha’s clinical finish put the visitors back in front just four minutes later.
Captain Luka Milivojevic converted a penalty with 10 minutes to go to put the game beyond doubt after Jeffrey Schlupp was fouled by Evans.
Zaha grabbed his second of the game in stoppage time to round off an emphatic performance and condemn Leicester to their fourth consecutive home defeat.
The victory was Palace’s third win in their last four games in all competitions and marked a record day for boss Roy Hodgson, as he became the oldest-ever Premier League manager.
Here’s how we rated the players following their victory over the Foxes.
Vicente Guaita - 6
A relatively solid day from the Palace keeper.
Joel Ward - 6
Struggled against Barnes in the first half in his first Premier League start since August, but improved in the second half.
James Tomkins - 7
Another who had a solid game. Perhaps could have done more to prevent Leicester’s equaliser, however.
Mamadou Sakho - 6
Sparked the attack that led to Palace’s second goal before being replaced due to injury.
Patrick van Aanholt - 7
Looked assured throughout and was rarely troubled despite Leicester’s best efforts.
James McArthur - 8
Chipped in with two assists in a fine midfield display.
Luka Milivojevic - 7
Struggled slightly against James Maddison as Leicester threatened in the first half, but dispatched his penalty in typical fashion.
Jeffrey Schlupp - 7
Won the penalty that led to Palace’s third, and a fairly good performance against his former side.
Andros Townsend - 6
Not his best performance in a Palace shirt but the winger improved after the break before being replaced with 10 minutes to go.
Wilfred Zaha - 9
A brilliant all round performance from Palace’s star man. Carried out his defensive duties well in the first half before scoring twice in the second.
Michy Batshuayi - 7
His first goal in a Palace shirt will give him confidence and could set him up for a strong end to the season.
