Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is a doubt for his side’s trip to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
The England international was set to be in contention for the Red Devils’ match at Selhurst Park, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that it would come as a surprise if he is fit to play.
Rahsford played through the pain of an ankle injury in United’s 0-0 draw away at Liverpool, with the visitors having used all three of their substitutions in the first half.
Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard were all forced off with hamstring injuries, much to the frustration of Solskjaer, who was then unable to take the young forward off.

As quoted by BBC Sport, the United interim boss said:
If he plays, I will be surprised. I have never seen the likes of this before. Three hamstrings in the first half? Rashford was kicked. He did his ankle straight away. We should have taken Rashford off as well but we couldn’t.
He was… you can’t say targeted but you can say there were quite a few fouls on him, definitely. Normally you would take him off after five minutes. When he went straight through his ankle blew up.
He wanted to run it off, then Juan and Ander came off so we couldn’t take the risk taking him off. Hopefully he has not damaged himself too much.
Palace are in a purple patch of form and are sure to see the news of Rashford’s fitness problems as a boost, with Roy Hodgson keen to see his side secure back-to-back Premier Lague victories following the 4-1 win at Leicester City.
