Arsenal are believed to be closing in on a deal to sign Brazilian youngster and Crystal Palace-linked Gabriel Martinelli.
According to the Express, who cite claims made by Globo Esporte, Arsenal are leading the hunt to strike a deal, with as many as 25 different clubs around the world looking to sign the player.
Palace are reportedly one of the many clubs interested in bringing the player to England, with Martinelli highly rated at current club Ituarno.
The player is not short of suitors, with Manchester United and Barcelona also believed to be aware of his talents.
It is claimed that Martinelli has already spent time on trial with the two aforementioned clubs.
A host of Brazilian teams are also looking to get hold of the striker, with Atletico Mineiro, Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Palmeiras, Santos and Sao Paulo all credited with an interest in the player.
However, the player’s agent, Marcos Casseb, says a move to Europe is likely.
His evolution since last year is very fast, he is above average. The initial planning is for him to go straight to Europe.
