Palace keen to keep hold of Wan-Bissaka due to potential fan backlash

Crystal Palace are willing to let star performer Wilfried Zaha leave this summer, however, the Eagles are desperate to keep hold of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to the Daily Mail.

Zaha, 26, came through Palace’s youth academy and recently revealed that he would be open to a move away from Selhurst Park in the summer, stating he ‘needs’ to play Champions League football.

European giants Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan have been monitoring Zaha’s situation over the season, along with Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite the playmaker signing a new five-year deal earlier this season, Palace officials are starting to realise that they may have to cash in on the Ivory Coast international in the summer.

And as a result of Zaha’s current lengthy contract in London, Palace are willing to listen to offers in the region of £80 million.

However, with Palace ready to listen to offers for Zaha in the summer, that looks set to have a positive impact on highly-rated youngster Wan-Bissaka.

The same report suggests that the right-back will more than likely remain at Selhurst Park this summer if Zaha departs, with the Palace board reluctant to face the backlash from supporters by selling two of their star performers.
