Crystal Palace produced a fine display against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon as Roy Hodgson’s side won 3-2 in an entertaining tie at the Emirates.
Christian Benteke was left unmarked from a free kick in the first half and the Belgian scored his first goal in nearly a whole year to give Palace the lead.
Mesut Ozil equalised for the Gunners early in the second half before Wilfried Zaha capitalised on more fragile defending from Arsenal to restore the away side’s lead.
James McArthur looked to have put the game beyond doubt when he netted Palace’s third, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s fine finish gave Unai Emery’s side hope of a comeback late on.
