Crystal Palace fixtures revealed: Where are the key games?

Crystal Palace fans will be excited ahead of the new campaign and will be hoping to improve on what was a solid season for Roy Hodgson’s men.

The Eagles kick off on home soil against Everton, a very even game, and August itself is a month where Palace have a chance to pick up some valuable points.

Following their game against Everton, Palace face off against Premier League newcomers Sheffield United before a tough trip to Old Trafford, with the final game of the month seeing Palace entertaining Aston Villa.

Palace fans will be very pleased ahead of the opening games, where despite tough fixtures, will expect their side to have a strong month.

On paper, the Manchester United game will be a tough fixture, however, with United having a massive clear out, the players will need time to gel.

If Palace are to finish in a strong spot this season potentially push for a spot in the top 10, they need to keep hold of key players.

December is going to be a vital month for Hodgson’s side.

The festive period could potentially be the difference in their season, not only this but Palace host their rivals Brighton, which is always an exciting encounter.

January does not look as good for the Eagles where they face Arsenal on the 11th of January at home and then pay a visit to the Etihad to face champions Manchester City on the 18th. This looks set to be Palace’s toughest run in this season.

Palace end the campaign with home games against Manchester United and Tottenham, with an away fixture to Wolves in between, so Palace will be hoping to have their Premier League survival secured before then.
