Rumoured Crystal Palace target Seko Fofana could be set to join Atalanta this summer, according to Sky Sport.
The Ivorian midfielder currently plies his trade at Udinese, but is expected to leave in the coming weeks.
Palace are one of the clubs thought to be interested in signing the 24-year-old, with reports linking both the Eagles and Newcastle United with him.
It looks as though Atalanta have emerged as the strong favourites, however, following the latest developments.
Talks are believed to have got underway with Fofana regarding a move, and the €15 million rated midfielder has “already given his availability to the transfer”.
The Ivory Coast joined Udinese from Manchester City in 2016, having played for the Premier League champions’ youth team.
He has since gone on to make 84 appearances for the Italian side, scoring 10 goals along the way.
It looks as though Palace will now have to look elsewhere for midfield reinforcements.
