Crystal Palace are tracking the performances of Paraguay centre-back Gustavo Gomez and could make a move for him this summer.
That is according to a report on Sport Witness, who cite South American outlet ABC’s claim that the Eagles have been keeping an eye on Gomez during the Copa America.
The 26-year-old played the full 90 minutes in two of Paraguay’s three group stage games as they qualified for the knockout stages, despite failing to win a match.
Gomez is currently contracted to AC Milan but is available after failing to cement his place in the team since joining in 2016.

He spent last season on loan with Palmeiras, scoring three goals in 12 games for Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side.
Palmeiras could prove to be a problem for Palace if they do choose to make a move for Gomez, as they have an option to sign the defender permanently as part of his loan agreement.
The report states that the Brazilian club are planning to activate that clause, but must do so before the end of this month in order to complete a €4.5 million deal.
Therefore, Palace will have to act quickly if they hope to add the six-foot central defender to their ranks ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
