Arsenal have reportedly firmed up their interest in signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace with an opening offer.
According to claims from Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Unai Emery’s side have submitted their first bid for the Eagles winger, with a sum worth £40 million put on the table.

Zaha is understood to be keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer as Palace face losing their talismanic forward ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The Ivory Coast international is hot property, however, and will not be allowed to leave Selhurst Park for anything less than a premium price.
Recent reports have indicated that Palace are unwilling to sanction the sale of Zaha unless they receive a bid worth at least £100 million – a figure that Arsenal have not even offered half of.
The Eagles have already lost Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United in a £50 million deal this summer and will undoubtedly be reluctant to let their key forward depart.
