Crystal Palace are enduring a difficult summer, and with Lazio now reportedly keen on Luka Milivojevic, they absolutely must not allow their fortunes to take another turn for the worse.
Calciomercato claims that the Italian giants have identified the Eagles captain as a viable replacement for his compatriot Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who could leave the club this summer.
Serbia international Milivojevic is only believed to be under consideration from Lazio, it is reported, but yet another of Palace’s key men has now been linked with a departure.

Roy Hodgson must work hard to ensure that the spine of his team is not dismantled. The Eagles have a strong core, and Milivojevic is paramount to the club’s success.

A gifted set-piece taker and an excellent holding player, the skipper has emerged as a pivotal cog in the club’s plans. Every player may have his price, but selling him would be a grave mistake.
With Aaron Wan-Bissaka having already departed, and Wilfried Zaha’s future at Selhurst Park still uncertain, Palace must ensure that they are able to retain the core of their team.
It is unsurprising to see a team of Lazio’s calibre pursuing Milivojevic – his impressive displays over the past seasons are seemingly finally being recognised on a European scale.
However, Palace should not be welcoming any interest from elsewhere. It is imperative that the Serbian is retained in the final week of the window.
