Crystal Palace have officially confirmed that forward Alexander Sorloth has completed a two-year loan move to Turkish side Trabzonspor this week.

The striker had featured for Palace in pre-season, but the signing of Jordan Ayew on a permanent deal has opened up space for him to leave the club on a temporary basis.
Does Sorloth have a future at Selhurst Park, though?
Sorloth joined Palace from Midtjylland in January 2018 for a fee in the region of £8m, but he has never been able to nail down a place in Roy Hodgson’s squad.

He made just four Premier League appearances in his first six months at the club, before playing a further 16 matches in all competitions last season – scoring once.
Palace sent him out on loan to Gent in January earlier this year, with Sorloth scoring five goals in 22 games for the Belgian side in the second half of the campaign.
In short, he doesn’t have a future at Palace. In over a year at the club, he has never shown even a hint of being able to compete at a Premier League level and is unlikely to ever be given another chance to prove himself whilst the club are in the top-flight.
Given that his time in Turkey is set to be two seasons, it appears even more likely that he will complete a permanent move to Trabzonspor upon the end of his loan spell.
