Crystal Palace are closing in on the loan signing of Victor Camarasa, according to the Independent.
The midfielder it set to move to Selhurst Park before Thursday’s transfer deadline, “with a €15 million obligation to buy”.
Camarasa’s switch to Palace is set to be completed in the next 48 hours, adding depth to the squad in the process.
The 25-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements at Real Betis, with Palace on the verge of making the most of the Spaniard’s availability.
Camarasa has Premier League experience, having spent last season on loan at Cardiff City.
He made 33 appearances for Neil Warncok’s side and scored five goals, but was unable to prevent them from being relegated.
Although Burnley have also shown interest in signing Camarasa, Palace have been the front-runners throughout the summer.
The Eagles’ 2019/20 Premier League season gets underway this weekend, with Roy Hodgson’s side hosting Everton on Saturday afternoon.
