Crystal Palace have joined a cluster of Premier League clubs in monitoring Derby County right-back Jayden Bogle ahead of Thursday’s summer transfer deadline, and he could be the perfect man to slot in at right-back.
According to TEAMtalk, top-flight trio Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United are also tracking the 19-year-old, with one ‘unnamed club’ already making an approach for his services.
Bogle was mightily impressive under Frank Lampard last season after coming through the Derby ranks, helping the Rams reach the Championship Play-Off Final, and has certainly caught the eye.

It’s quite unbelievable that Palace haven’t signed a suitable replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka yet. The 21-year-old left for Manchester United in a £50million deal at the end of June, but with three days left of the transfer window, the main right-back options are Joel Ward and Martin Kelly.
Don’t get me wrong, Ward and Kelly have been great servants at Selhurst Park but the impact Wan-Bissaka made last season makes it seem like both are downgrades.

Reports suggest Palace are ‘pushing hard’ for Montpellier’s Ruben Aguilar, but Bogle replicates the exciting, young talent that Wan-Bissaka represented when he burst through the club’s ranks.
In Bogle, you’d be getting a starter for the next decade and he’s nowhere near reaching his full potential yet. Similarly to Wan-Bissaka, Bogle’s tackling ability is commendable and some would argue his eye for a pass in the final third is stronger than the Man United man’s.
Once one offer goes in for the Derby man, it could prompt a bidding war and Palace might spring into action. However, the waves are relatively quiet for the time being.
