A quiet deadline day at Crystal Palace looks set to sum up what’s been a summer to forget at Selhurst Park.
According to Sport Express, via Sport Witness, the Eagles are highly unlikely to sign CSKA Moscow forward Fyodor Chalov on Thursday, with “not enough time left to complete the deal.”
Talks between the two clubs have stalled and a proposed €25 million move will now not happen.

As the transfer window nears its conclusion, this latest setback sums up Palace’s summer.
There is still a chance that star man Wilfried Zaha could leave the club and join Everton, having handed in a transfer request.
On top of that, hugely promising youngster Aaron Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United earlier in the summer.
Although the likes of Gary Cahill and James McCarthy have been added to the squad, it’s understandable why there is negativity among supporters ahead of the new Premier League season.
