One of the main topics of frustration for Crystal Palace fans over the summer transfer window was the club’s inability to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but that problem could soon be solved.
According to talkSPORT, Palace are one of several clubs interested to sign Rangers right-back James Tavernier in January, despite the player signing a contract extension at Ibrox in September.
Tavernier has become a key part of Steven Gerrard’s plans as Rangers manager and has been widely praised for his attacking presence and eye for goal.
Although Joel Ward did a good job in Palace’s Premier League opener against Everton on Saturday, it seems fans are still hungry to sign a long-term successor to Wan-Bissaka.

Meanwhile, others were less invested in the idea…

Admittedly, Tavernier is, at times, suspect defensively but I think he’s certainly Premier League quality and has past experience of English top-flight football with Newcastle United.
Aged 27, the right-back is now entering his prime though, and Palace fans may want Roy Hodgson to either sign a younger option with a higher ceiling or blood a new youth star into the first team.
You wouldn’t blame them for wanting that either, considering they lost such a huge prospect in Wan-Bissaka after just one year as an established first-team star.
