Crystal Palace suffered a poor 1-0 defeat to newly promoted Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon, with Roy Hodgson’s side offering very little in attacking threat.
Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha were paired up-front together but exchanged just one pass between each other in the whole game.
Many supporters recognised this, and have taken to social media to express their disappointment at the performance of Benteke in particular, and the striker is currently trending on Twitter for all the wrong reasons.

While Benteke certainly didn’t have a good game against the Blades, he also suffered from a severe lack of service.
That being said, however, the Belgian has scored just three goals in his last 50 Premier League appearances for Palace, so it is easy to understand the supporters’ frustrations.
