Hodgson has opted for a midfield pairing of Luka Milivojevic and James McArthur, with Andros Townsend and Max Meyer was the wide players – behind Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke up front.
With Cheikhou Kouyate and James McCarthy on the bench, Hodgson may feel as though he has enough cover in the central areas and has no need for Camarasa to be involved against Sheffield United.
Or, the Spaniard could be injured and unavailable for selection. The former England boss may be asked to clarify his situation to the press after the game, regardless of the result.
