Mamadou Sakho has provided Crystal Palace supporters with an exciting update on his road to recovery, and it looks like he may be ready to return to the field soon.
The Frenchman was struggling with a knee problem which kept him out of the end of last season, but he’s now stepping up his attempts to make a comeback sooner rather than later.

With Martin Kelly and Scott Dann currently occupying the central defensive positions, Palace have only conceded one goal in their opening two games but plenty of fans seem desperate for Sakho to return:

In Sakho and Gary Cahill, you could argue Roy Hodgson has an upgraded defensive partnership waiting in the wings to come into the team and make an impact.
Although it’s not defensive issues the Eagles have been punished for in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign, a back four of Joel Ward, Cahill, Sakho and Patrick van Aanholt should fill many with optimism.
