Crystal Palace have sprung this season’s first massive surprise by beating Manchester United 2-1 away at Old Trafford.
This was incidentally the Eagles’ first Premier League win over the Red Devils, too.
Jordan Ayew and Patrick van Aanholt scored the goals for Roy Hodgson’s men, while Daniel James did equalise the score for few minutes late on.
In a first half where United were dominant from the get-go, Palace dug deep and defended their box well, without creating much on the counter-attack.
However, in the 32nd minute, a long ball from Vicente Guaita found Jeff Schlupp, who beat Victor Lindelof aerially and flicked the ball towards Ayew to score past the helpless David de Gea.
The home side had a penalty given in the second half, but Marcus Rashford missed. They eventually equalised in the 89th minute via a tremendous curling finish from James.
But, late in stoppage time, PVA made a good supporting run down the left-hand side and his shot eventually crept in through De Gea to seal the points for the Eagles.
Here are the three players who starred in that win for Crystal Palace:
