Palace winger Andros Townsend’s effort against Manchester City last season has failed to make it into the final three for the 2019 Puskas Award.
The award, handed out by FIFA at it’s “The Best” ceremony, is given to the best goal in all of world football, as voted on by the public.
However, Townsend’s effort against City has missed out, with three other goals making the cut for the final.

Read Crystal Palace’s verdict
The three goals selected are obviously good goals, and they could all potentially win the award.
However…
Townsend’s goal is surely better, no?
Considering it was against Man City of all clubs, it’s very confusing as to why the winger has missed out on making the final three.
