Crystal Palace have been linked with numerous names down the years, and Eagles fans have been reminiscing on Twitter about these missed opportunities.
Twitter user @jfcpfc posted images of several tweets from the past showing Palace linked with stars such as Ferland Mendy, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Junior Firpo.
It also shows Palace being linked with a £5 million swoop for Harry Kane, something that would be unthinkable nowadays.
Several Palace fans revealed their sadness that these deals never happened on Twitter.
@Callumfitzer11_ thinks that West Ham have had it worse, saying that “You wanna see some of West Ham’s Mane, Neymar, Cavani …”
@PalaceWaco can only the imagine the impact one of the player’s would have at Palace, saying ” Imagine Kane here. Jesus”
@prene73 mentions other stars who ended up not moving to Palace, saying that “Why not mention Henrik Larsson, Assambolonga both available for 850k but deemed ‘a risk’ by the club too??”
@WinsorPete reckons that there is still a risk to transfers however, tweeting: ” For every one of these there’s a Cenk Tosun.”

It seems every club has these “what if?” transfers nowadays.
Lewandowski almost signed for Blackburn, Neymar almost moved to West Ham, and Norwich have a handful of players who almost made the move to East Anglia.
Who knows if Harry Kane would have ever moved to Palace,but we can dream sometimes.
It certainly would’ve sorted the current predicament up front for the Eagles!
