Former Crystal Palace striker Michy Batshuayi has been told by Belgium boss Roberto Martinez that he needs more first-team minutes to remain in the national side.
The ex-Palace man has found game time limited at Chelsea so far this season, despite scoring against Southampton.
Rumours have again linked Palace with a switch for the striker, who enjoyed a successful spell with the club last season.
Martinez has given the striker a warning that he needs to seek more game time if he is to stay in the squad, whether that is at Chelsea or somewhere else.
The ex-Everton boss told Het Nieuwsblad:
He doesn’t play enough at Chelsea. I think that’s a shame, even though he scores a lot with the national team.
I hope he will play more, because we really need him… But then he has to play. Otherwise a solution must be found.

Batshuayi had a very successful spell at the club last season, and many Eagles fans would love to see him return to the club.
The striker is clearly not in Frank Lampard’s plans, with Tammy Abraham becoming Chelsea’s first-choice striker.
Therefore, if the money is right, a move to Palace looks to be the best deal for both parties.
