Crystal Palace have made contact over a deal to sign AC Milan forward Fabio Borini in the January transfer window.
According to The Evening Standard, Palace are keen to sign a striker in January and are eyeing up a move for Borini to add some extra firepower to their attack.
The report claims that Borini is out of contract at the end of the season, which means that Palace could snap Borini up on a pre-contract for the summer or for a bargain fee in January.

There is no doubting that Palace need to strengthen at the top end of the pitch. Christian Benteke is continuing to struggle and the goals have dried up for Jordan Ayew in recent weeks, with Wilfried Zaha also only on two goals for the season so far.
Borini is a versatile player who can play as a striker, a winger, a number ten or a central midfielder. This means that he would offer Roy Hodgson plenty of options in his side, if Palace can get him in.
He also has Premier League experience, for Liverpool, Sunderland, Chelsea and Swansea, amassing over 100 appearances in the league. This means that, in theory, it should take less time for him to settle in.
