Crystal Palace have been dealt a blow ahead of the January transfer window as Leicester look set to keep hold of Kelechi Iheanacho.
According to The Telegraph, via HITC, Leicester will turn down any offers for Iheanacho in January, with Palace and Villa said to be keen.
The report claims that Palace were preparing an offer to take him on loan until the end of the season, but Leicester are not willing to play ball.

There is no doubting that Palace need extra firepower in the January window, with the club struggling to make a significant impact at the top end of the pitch. The goals have not been flowing for Wilfried Zaha this season and Jordan Ayew has not been able to find the back of the net on a consistent basis.
Iheanacho has recently broken back into the Leicester XI, which was always going to make a deal for Palace seem unlikely. This means that they will now have to look elsewhere for a potential January signing, with Iheanacho seemingly out of the picture.
It will be interesting to see what type of striker Palace go for, whether they aim for someone in the Christian Benteke mould, a small, sharp, forward like Ayew or a poacher like Iheanacho.
