Manchester City have made contact with Crystal Palace over a possible deal for goalkeeper Vincente Guaita at the end of the season.
According to AS, via Sky Sports, Manchester City are keen on a move for Guaita as they look to replace Claudio Bravo next summer.
The report claims, however, that Palace are still hoping to tie him down to a new contract at Selhurst Park, rather than selling him.

There is no doubting that Guaita has been one of Palace’s best players this season. He has a calming presence at the back and deals with everything that comes his way in the box. His shot-stopping is excellent and he is quick out to collect crosses and clear balls on the edge of the area.
However, he is 32 and may feel as though a move to Manchester City is his last chance to win some trophies before the end of his career. If they offer a decent fee for him, Palace could also reinvest the money and sign a younger goalkeeper as they look to build a team for the future. Whilst it would be remiss to say Palace should sell Guaita, there are some positives to his potential departure.
