Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho is set for a lengthy period out of action.
The former Liverpool centre-back suffered a hamstring injury during the New Year’s Day draw against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

As reported on the Daily Mail, manager Roy Hodgson confirmed that Sakho will be unavailable for the foreseeable future.
The Eagles are currently having an injury crisis as multiple first-team stars are out of action.
In defence, Patrick van Aanholt, Jeffrey Schlupp, Gary Cahill, Joel Ward and Scott Dann are all out.

This is a huge blow for Palace and Hodgson definitely needs to invest in some defenders this month.
There is no set return date for Sakho and that is the most worrying aspect of the injury.
The Eagles could be sucked into a relegation fight but the only hope at the moment is that Cahill recovers swiftly.
