Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Norwich City left-back Jamal Lewis this month.
According to the print edition of the Sunday Mirror, via The Pink’Un, Palace are considering a swoop for the Northern Ireland international.
The report claims that Lewis is under contract until 2023 and that Norwich are under no financial pressure to sell.

Palace have been forced into playing Jairo Riedewald at left-back of late, due to Patrick Van Aanholt’s injury, which means that there is a vacancy in the left-back department. Riedewald is a midfielder by trade and playing out of position on the left side of the defence, so a move for Lewis would allow Roy Hodgson to have more balance in his side.
Lewis has lost his place in the Norwich starting line-up to Sam Byram, following an injury to the Northern Irishman earlier in the season, and was on the bench in their win over Bournemouth. He turns 22 later this month, which means that he still has plenty of time ahead of him to develop and progress as a player. Palace would be signing a player with Premier League experience as well as potential, which could be a good investment by the club as he could have resale value to make profit in the future.
