Crystal Palace are not in talks to sign Norwich defender Jamal Lewis, despite reports suggesting otherwise.
Football Insider had reported that Palace were closing in on a deal for Lewis and that they were in “advanced talks”.
However, local Norwich paper The Pink’Un followed up by stating that the two clubs are not in talks and Lewis is not for sale.

Lewis still has over three years left on his Norwich contract, is only 22, and the Canaries are in a precarious league position. This means that it would be strange for them to allow one of their promising talents to leave in the January window.
The Northern Ireland international also played the full 90 minutes as Norwich beat Burnley 2-1 at the weekend. He has, though, lost his place in their Premier League starting line-up to former West Ham defender Sam Byram.
Palace have had to field Jairo Riedewald at left-back in recent weeks, which means that they have been playing without a recognised left-back in the XI. This shows why Palace are in the market to add a new number three to their squad in the coming days.
The second report states that Norwich are under no financial pressure to sell, which indicates that Palace would have to pay over the odds for his signature. With less than a week left in the transfer window, it would appear as though Palace’s left-back targets are running out.
