Crystal Palace’s move for West Bromwich Albion defender Nathan Ferguson has hit a stumbling block.
The transfer is now ‘in the balance’ after the defender had a problem during his medical with the Eagles, as reported on Sky Sports.
As stated in the report, Palace are taking a closer look at the knee problem which caused an issue during the medical and will then make their decision.
As quoted on Football London, manager Roy Hodgson said:
He is a player we’ve coveted for a long time, and it is one we’d like to do.

Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur were also linked with a move for the teenager but Palace emerged as the victors of the pursuit.
Ferguson has been a key member of West Brom’s team so far this season, making 21 appearances in the Championship, helping them to second place in the table.
The 19-year-old’s versatility is one of his biggest strengths as he can operate as a left-back, right-back or centre-back.
We feel that missing out on Ferguson would be a big blow for Palace because currently, they only have Patrick Van Aanholt and Joel Ward as recognised full-backs, despite centre-backs Jairo Riedewald and Martin Kelly deputising there in recent weeks.
