During last Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Sheffield United, Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend made his 200th Premier League appearance.
The Englishman has scored 21 goals in that period, while also earning 75 wins during his spells with Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle United.
One of his most notable strikes came for Palace during last season’s remarkable 3-2 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Townsend volleyed in powerfully from outside the box, with the goal being awarded the Goal of the Season crown.
This season, however, he has been struggling with injuries and has been limited to only 872 minutes of action in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
The 28-year-old took to Twitter to share his happiness at reaching the landmark, saying that “dreams do come true”.
Many Tottenham fans replied to his post congratulating him on the achievement and praising him for his contributions to the north London club.
