Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has provided an injury update on midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate.
The midfielder suffered a knock late on during the 1-0 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday.
Kouyate was withdrawn towards the end of the match and manager Roy Hodgson revealed that it was a strong kick that he received, however, he is not expecting it to be serious.
As quoted on Football London, he said:
He took a nasty knock on the ankle towards the end of the game, but I asked him about it and he led me to believe that it wasn’t too serious.

The news comes as a potential boost for the Eagles because of their upcoming clash against rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Senegal international replaced Luka Milivojevic in the starting XI and had a pretty solid game, proven by the fact that he made one key pass, won three aerial battles and made one interception (WhoScored).
We feel that if Kouyate is deemed not fit enough for the clash, then Hodgson may need to rely on Milivojevic recovering from his illness this week because he is the only like-for-like replacement.
Palace are beginning to get some of their players back from injury, so we think it would be a real shame for them to lose Kouyate at this stage of the season.
