A number of Crystal Palace fans have reacted to defender Patrick Van Aanholt winning the club’s Player of the Month award.
Some Palace fans have taken to Twitter to praise the star after he posted a picture on his account holding the award and thanking the supporters.
Van Aanholt enjoyed an impressive February, helping the Eagles to win two of their four Premier League matches.
The full-back also contributed to two clean sheets, while also netting his third goal of the campaign.
The Dutch defender scored the winning goal as Palace beat Newcastle 1-0. He also put in a superb performance as Palace kept a second consecutive clean sheet to defeat rivals Brighton 1-0 away from home.
This comes after the left-back missed the entire of January through injury. Before the start of February, Van Aanholt’s last appearance was a 2-1 win over West Ham on Boxing Day.
