A number of Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react to a report linking the club with a move for Spezia centre-back Martin Erlic.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, as translated by Sport Witness, Crystal Palace have been sending scouts to watch Erlic play this season as they consider a summer swoop for the defender.
The report also claims that fellow Premier League side Southampton have also been keeping tabs on Erlic. This means that Palace could be set to face some fierce competition for his signature if they decide to firm up their interest with an offer in the upcoming transfer window.
Erlic, 22, has been a regular for Spezia this season and the report claims that Palace see “Premier League quality” in his performances for the Italian side.
These Palace fans reacted to the news, mocking the report due to the lack of games currently taking place in Italy.
