Crystal Palace signing Rayan Ait Nouri from Angers this summer could be a statement of intent from the club.
According to Le Foot, as translated by Sport Witness, Angers are set to demand a fee of at least €35m for the left back, with Crystal Palace and Atletico Madrid both said to be keen on the teenager.
The report claims that Angers rejected an offer of €30m from an unnamed Premier League club during the January transfer window, although it is not clear as to whether or not that was Palace.

If Palace could complete a mega deal for the 18-year-old talent, it could be a signal to the rest of the Premier League that they are ready to compete for a place in the top six.
Whilst Palace have been teetering around the top 10, signing quality players and investing big money could help them to start fighting for a top-six finish by improving their squad.
Nouri, despite only being 18, has impressed in Ligue 1 for Angers this season. He has recorded a WhoScored rating of 6.74 and provided two assists from fullback for the French outfit. With a European giant like Atletico Madrid also keen, Palace swooping in to secure a deal could be a real coup for the club.
