Crystal Palace will be represented during March’s international break, and two of Oliver Glasner’s squad could be in action for England. Thomas Tuchel named his squad for the Three Lions’ friendlies as they prepare for this summer’s World Cup.
Tuchel has included Adam Wharton and Dean Henderson in his squad for friendlies against Uruguay (March 27th) and Japan (March 31st). The pair have been regulars under the German coach since he succeeded Gareth Southgate in January 2025.
The English duo aren’t the only Palace stars who will be in action for their countries next week. Ten members of Glasner’s squad are called up by their respective nations.
Crystal Palace players called up

Daniel Munoz’s return from a shoulder injury has come just in time for Colombia’s friendlies against Croatia and France. The Palace wing-back has made Nestor Lorenzo’s squad, as has Jefferson Lerma, who will be looking to add to his 62 caps.
This summer’s host nation, the USA, has called upon Chris Richards. The Eagles centre-back will be competing for a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s defence in friendlies against Belgium and Portugal.
Morocco has been crowned the African Cup of Nations winners in controversial fashion, and that means Chadi Riad is waiting for a winners’ medal. He could be in action in friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay.
This appears to be Daichi Kamada’s final season at Selhurst Park, and he remains a key man for Japan. The fan-favourite midfielder will be representing his country in friendlies against Scotland and England.

Ismaila Sarr has been in scintillating form for the South Londoners and that bodes well for Senegal. The African nation face Peru and Gambia in friendly competition to prepare for the World Cup.
A slow start for Yeremy Pino at his new club hasn’t prevented him from earning a call-up to Spain’s squad. The Palace attacker might want to prove a point to Glasner against Serbia and Egypt.
Wales are participating in World Cup qualifying play-offs, and Brennan Johnson has been included in their squad for a semi-final against Bosnia. If they win, they face either Northern Ireland or Italy in the final.

Evann Guessand’s impressive loan spell has earned him a place in the Ivory Coast’s squad. They face South Korea and Scotland next week.
Norway will be at this summer’s World Cup and Jorgen Strand Larsen looks likely to be on the plane. Palace’s club-record signing could be in friendly action against the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Who misses out?

Some of Palace’s star men have unfortunately failed to earn call-ups for international duty. The biggest name is Maxence Lacroix, whom Didier Deschamps is resisting turning to despite his stellar performances.
Lacroix’s compatriot Jaydee Canvot is named in France U21’s squad amid his impressive debut season at Selhurst. There is still no place for Tyrick Mitchell in the England squad, and his wait to add to his two caps continues.
Loanee Christantus Uche hasn’t made Nigeria’s squad for their upcoming friendlies. That’s also the case for Jean-Philippe Mateta, whose chances of making the France squad for the World Cup look slim.
