- Palace seeking to complete league double over Bees
- Eagles have netted in all seven previous fixtures
Crystal Palace travel across London to the G-Tech to face a Brentford side who are hot in pursuit of European football for what would be the first time in their history. Palace continue to have little to play for in the Premier League, as full focus remains on the game in ten days time against Rayo Vellacano.
Palace will travel to Leipzig after their final league game against Arsenal on Sunday, but will first face off in their final two Premier League matches of the season.
The priority will be to get through without any new injury issues that could impact the chances of European success, and Oliver Glasner will undoubtedly have some more pre-planned substitutes scheduled.
Should Palace win, depending on fixtures elsewhere, they could climb as high as 13th and potentially maintain the opportunity to finsh in the top ten.

Last time out
Palace and Brentford last met back in November last year, and somewhat surprisingly given the two sides’ form since, Palace ran out 2-0 winners. A Jean-Phillipe Mateta opening goal was followed by a Nathan Collins own goal.
Since that game, the Bees have won nine Premier League games. Palace have won seven. Whilst the disparity between the two sides does not feel like much this campaign, Brentford find themselves seven points above Glasner’s side.
If you’re struggling to remember that win at Selhurst Park in November, you wouldn’t be blamed. Between the two sides two big chances were created, and it was a game plagued with fouls and corners.
Brentford can finish as high as 6th if they win their final two games, and Keith Andrews will have his side fired up with the potential of finishing inside the top eight very much in their hands.
Fixture history
Both sides are relatively balanced when it comes to recent meetings. In the last ten meetings, there have been five draws. Palace have won twice, with Brentford winning three times.
Both teams have scored in six of the last seven encounters, and there have been at least two goals in each of the last four.
Palace have scored in all of the last seven meetings, the last time they failed to find the net coming back in December 2022.
Palace’s defensive record is better than Brentford’s this season, but the Bees have been high scorers, led by Brazilian Igor Thiago who has netted 22 Premier League goals.
Palace have once again had little rest going into this game, and are coming off the back of a 3-0 defeat to FA Cup winners Manchester City, and with the final of the Conference League upcoming, Brentford are sure favourites to win.
