Crystal Palace Women goalkeeper Shae Yañez has signed a new contract which will keep her at the club until summer 2028.
Yañez joined Palace in 2024 before the club’s first season in the Women’s Super League.
The former London City Lionesses and Bristol City goalkeeper has since made 46 appearances in all competitions.
She played a major role as Palace secured promotion back to the WSL last season. Yañez started every league match and kept six clean sheets during the successful campaign.

The goalkeeper also received individual recognition for her performances.
Her save against Birmingham City in December won the British Gas Save of the Season award at the 2025/26 WSL Football Awards.
“Shae really stepped up last season and was a big part of our success,” Potter said.
“We will need her experience between the sticks again, as we prepare to take on the WSL.”
Yañez also expressed her excitement after committing the next two years of her career to Palace.
“I am beyond thrilled to have signed a new contract with the club,” she said.
“I’m really excited for what’s in store for next season and look forward to growing alongside a great group of people.”
The new deal gives Palace stability in goal before the WSL campaign. Yañez now has the opportunity to build on a promotion-winning season and re-establish herself at the highest level.
