Crystal Palace have established a number of excellent goalkeepers during their Premier League history, with several shot-stoppers making a significant contribution to the club’s defensive record.
From the early Premier League years of Nigel Martyn to the modern-day exploits of Vicente Guaita and Dean Henderson, the Eagles have produced a strong list of goalkeepers when it comes to keeping opponents off the scoresheet. Crystal Palace reached another landmark in December 2024, when the club recorded its 150th Premier League clean sheet.
The following list is based on Premier League clean sheets recorded while representing Crystal Palace, rather than clean sheets accumulated at other clubs.
1. Vicente Guaita – 42 clean sheets
Vicente Guaita leads Crystal Palace’s all-time Premier League goalkeeper clean-sheet standings with 42. The Spaniard spent five seasons at Selhurst Park between 2018/19 and 2022/23, making 149 Premier League appearances for the Eagles. His season-by-season record shows seven clean sheets in his first campaign, followed by 10 in 2019/20, eight in 2020/21, 11 in 2021/22 and six in his final season. That gives him 42 in total.
2. Wayne Hennessey – 28 clean sheets
Wayne Hennessey occupies second place with 28 Premier League clean sheets for Crystal Palace. The Welsh goalkeeper made 110 league appearances for the Eagles, beginning his Palace career in 2014 and featuring regularly over several seasons. Hennessey’s 28 clean sheets place him ahead of every Palace goalkeeper except Guaita in the club’s Premier League records. The Premier League’s records also document several notable Hennessey performances, including a match in which he produced 28 combined saves and recoveries against Liverpool.
3. Dean Henderson – 26 clean sheets
Dean Henderson has already moved into third place on the list with 26 Premier League clean sheets for Crystal Palace. Henderson joined the club in 2023 and recorded four clean sheets in his first season, followed by 11 in 2024/25 and another 11 in 2025/26. He therefore reached 26 clean sheets across his first 93 Premier League appearances for Palace.
4. Nigel Martyn – 25 clean sheets
Nigel Martyn is fourth with 25 Premier League clean sheets for Crystal Palace. The former England international was Palace’s goalkeeper during the club’s first Premier League campaign in 1992/93 and returned for the 1994/95 season. Martyn made 79 appearances and kept 25 clean sheets. His record was particularly impressive in 1994/95, when he recorded 14 clean sheets in 37 league matches. The Premier League has also previously highlighted Martyn’s excellent career clean-sheet ratio among long-serving goalkeepers.
5. Julian Speroni – 20 clean sheets
Julian Speroni completes the top five with 20 Premier League clean sheets. The Argentine goalkeeper made 93 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace during his long association with the club and became one of its most recognizable modern-era players. The Premier League’s official player profile lists Speroni with 93 appearances and 20 clean sheets. Palace themselves have also documented the remarkable longevity of his career, during which he made 405 appearances for the Eagles across all competitions.
