Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah has joined Championship side Reading on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 24-year-old has scored eight goals this season in 23 appearances whilst on loan at Cambridge United which earned him a call-up to Avram Grant’s Ghanaian African Cup of Nations squad. He made four appearances throughout the tournament scoring a goal and creating another two – landing him with a fair play award for his performances.
Upon his return from the African Cup of Nations, the striker has scored four goals in two appearances for Crystal Palace’s Under-21s after scoring a hat-trick against Leeds United last Tuesday at the KNK Stadium.
Appiah has recently signed a new deal at the club after impressing Alan Pardew since his arrival at the club despite only making ten appearances at the club in three-and-a-half years.
