Academy Players Learn their Fate
As the season draws to a close, the Eagles’ academy stars are learning whether they will be offered a new deal by the club or released at the end of the season.
Kyle de Silva is one of the players who has been told by coaching staff that he will not be kept on for another season, after playing admirably for the under-21s this season and getting onto the scoresheet on numerous occasions throughout the campaign.
The 21-year-old made his first team debut in the FA Cup against Derby County in 2012, going on to make seven additional appearances in the Championship whilst also featuring in the Capital One Cup and going out on loan to Barnet. He has suffered with injuries in the past though but it now seems as if that is behind him.
Alongside de Silva a number of noticeable names have been released by the club include Morgan Ferrier, Sonny Black, Ghass Sow, Sam Magri and Fisayo Adarabioyo. Out of those who have been let go by the club, Ferrier is currently training with Queens Park Rangers whilst Black is about to go on trial with Fleetwood.
In other news, the following players have been offered new deals by the club and are expected to stay at Crystal Palace for at least another season: Ryan Inniss, Jerome Binnom-Williams, Jake Gray, Luke Croll and Connor Dymond.
