Gayle “Sure” that Palace Will Buy Two Strikers

Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle insists that he isn’t paying attention to any of the speculation linking him with a move away.

Palace have been linked with a whole host of strikers such as QPR’s Charlie Austin and Chelsea’s Loic Remy, and if a pair of forward arrive, it makes sense that some of the current strikers will move on.

Just recently, Glenn Murray was linked with a move to Bournemouth, in fact it was reported that The Cherries had made a £3.5m bid for him, and there has been plenty of talk that Gayle will be moving too.

The striker has been linked with two newly promoted clubs, Bournemouth and Norwich City, amid rumours that Alan Pardew is looking to strengthen his attacking resources but Gayle maintains that it isn’t affecting him:

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser, the 25 year old said: “I am sure we will get in a couple of strikers maybe, but I’m just concentrating on myself and getting myself fit and ready for the season. I am just concentrating on playing for the club and leaving the speculation to be speculation and just continuing as myself.

When asked if he has any aims or expectations for the next campaign, Gayle said:

“I don’t really have an aim for next season, I just take each game as they come, try to play the best I can and see how it goes.”
