The Premier League duo of Crystal Palace and Everton are interested in signing Karl Toko Ekambi from Ligue 2 side Sochaux, according to the Daily Mail.
The 23-year-old is one of the highest-rated players in the French second division, netting 17 times last year and three times this season.
Both Everton and the Eagles sent scouts to spectate Ekambi’s game on the weekend at Le Havre, and suggestions are that his club would sell him for around £2m.
The Cameroon international can also play out on the left wing, to show his versatility. He has also been attracting interest from several clubs in Ligue 1, including Lille and Lorient.
When playing, the striker has been compared in style to that of West Ham’s Diafra Sakho, and is represented by Mark McKay.
Therefore, Ekambi shares the same agent of Dimitri Payet who made a move from France to West Ham and Idressa Gueye who also made the switch to the Premier League, with Aston Villa his destination.
