Crystal Palace and Tottenham are set to battle for the signature of Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has scored 13 goals in 22 games in all competitions for the French side, so it is little surprise that he’s attracting interest from across Europe.
The striker has two international caps for Belgium and has scored on both of the appearances he has made for his country; a Euro 2016 qualifier against Cyprus and a recent friendly against Italy.

It makes sense for Alan Pardew to be looking for a new striker as none of his strikers; Patrick Bamford, Frazier Campbell, Marouane Chamakh, Dwight Gayle or Connor Wickham have managed to score a Premier League goal this term. The fact that Palace sit in 6th place in the table is due to goals from midfielders and defenders, so if the Eagles can get a striker, they could genuinely push for a Champions League spot.
Spurs have become somewhat over-reliant on Harry Kane in terms of striking options, so it is no surprise that they are being linked with a new forward too.
