Former Spurs striker out to prove his fitness to the Eagles

Emmanuel Adebayor, who has been without a club following his release from Tottenham Hotspur, has been linked with a move to fellow Premier League side, Crystal Palace.

The striker took to Instagram in the week to show off his body after a work out, suggesting he is working hard to maintain fitness.

Last moth, the former Arsenal and Manchester City star forward hired his own personal trainer in a bid to keep fit to give his potential clubs a reason to concrete their reported interest. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino decided that Adebayor was no long part of his plans in September 2015.

However, because he was a registered player for the Argentine boss, the release couldn’t be confirmed until the January transfer window had opened.

By the end of June 2016, the Togo international will have pocketed £5.25m without even kicking a football again.

Spurs are still paying Adebayor £100,00-a-week which will continue until his contract at White Hart Lane expires, which is the end of June.
